almost camping!

ashleigh and dan gave us one of the coolest wedding gifts! they gave us this huge box packed with all kinds of camping stuff!! we love being outside, but we didn't have much outdoor gear of our own, but now we do! since we got all the new stuff, we have been dying to go camping, but have not had a spare minute! so we went pretend camping..haha. we actually just went to the lake for a few hours, but took our new coleman grill to make hot dogs! is it necessary to take a grill with you when you're going to the lake for 3-4 hours? maybe not..but we had fun!

so it took some ghetto rigging.. we speared the hot dogs with our "telescoping hot dog poker thing" (actually for the fire)..but hey it held the hot dogs over the grill!

honeymooning in mexico =)

here are quite a few pictures from the honeymoon! you see, i post a ton of pictures because our lives aren't exciting enough to just write about, so pictures are better. like right now, our lives consist of wake up, go to work, come home from work, unpack boxes, write thank you notes, go to bed. yeah..we're living it up here in college station! so enjoy the pictures for now!

we had a blast. everyone should go to the royal in playa del carmen, its amazing. kyle is already looking at prices to go back again. i say hold your horses. but we did see beach front condos for sale starting at $73,000...maybe we'll just go that way!!

lanny cale

so most all of you know that lanny is on his way to kazakhstan right now. well, he had a 5 hour delay in denver yesterday, so when he got to frankfort, germany (5 hours late, of course), he had missed his flight to astana, kazakhstan. they told him they would connect him through moscow. so after a couple of hours, he went to board his flight to moscow, and they asked for his visa for russia. well, he didn't have a visa for russia, because he wasn't planning on going there, so they told him he couldn't board that flight. the next flight from frankfort to kazakhstan is not for another 24 hours. thankfully, the airport there got him a hotel room and food vouchers, but its still a little discouraging to be stuck there for a whole day alone! his flight should be tomorrow (friday) at 10ish am our time (8 pm in germany). keep him in your prayers! and remember my parents/family too as we're all a little worried about him too. we'll all be much more at ease once he gets to KZ with his partner, jay, and jake and stephanie huck (the family he'll be working with there in KZ).

married at last!!

we're finally official! we got married on june 14th and we are loving every minute of being newlyweds! we had an amazing time in playa del carmen, on our honeymoon (pictures to follow!) and now we're back to the real world, which is college station for now. kyle is working as a personal banker and i am ending my job at intellamed (medical supply company) and starting as a nurse in the nursery at the medical center on july 7th. everyone said it would be a bummer to have to come back to "reality" but we are loving learning how to be married together!
in the meantime, here are a few pictures from the wedding (ok, a lot!) but i love them all and wanted everyone to be able to see some of them!

summer days at the jones house

over memorial day weekend, the entire jones gang got together! this was the first time every single sibling, in-law, grandkid, etc. had been together in over a year! we had so much fun! we just hung out outside all day fishing, swimming, grilling out. so this is what our entire family looks like on a chillin' summer day! i love them all like crazy! every last one of them! everyone will be back together very soon for the wedding..11 days to be exact!! can't wait!
